Something in the water

So today is a new day and I’ve awoken to the sad fact that my beer to blood ratio isn’t looking at all favourable. Eughhh.

I gather what little energy I have left, and set off in search of tea and food to soak up last’s nights party, before throwing the double denim on and heading back to the O2. Continue reading “Something in the water”

Ruby, Ruby, Ruby, Ruby…

Tonight I am off to a concert at Manchester’s Ruby Lounge. I have often walked past this tiny unobtrusive place on the tail end of Piccadilly’s High Street without giving it a second glance. A slightly grimy looking venue, and usually papered in ‘Manc Club Night’ posters, it is customarily home to rock and roll/indie acts. I was therefore surprised somewhat to find a forthcoming billing for two country music artists, which is how I find myself here, on this evening, queuing excitedly for the doors to open. A very Feliz Cumpleanõs

The alarm goes off today at the ungodly hour of 5:30am and every fibre of my being yells out in protest as I sink further beneath the duvet. The second alarm kicks in and I can’t stay sore for too long however, as it’s all in the name of adventure. Continue reading “A very Feliz Cumpleanõs”

It’s a kinda magic

We snooze until mid morning today after our first night in Vegas so by the time we leave to scout out breakfast (or lunch) it’s a scorching 40 degrees here in Paradise. That’s not me calling it that by the way, that’s genuinely the local area name here in Clark County that covers most of the Las Vegas strip and the airport. Continue reading “It’s a kinda magic”

West Side Story

I’m up at the crack of dawn today (well, 7am) in order to get my last internal flight here in America. Continue reading “West Side Story”

Gooooo Bayside!!

It’s time to say goodbye to ‘Stangy’ today. He’s been my faithful companion on this road trip, and he hasn’t even once criticised my driving; so I’m sad to part ways. Continue reading “Gooooo Bayside!!”

A whale of a time

I get up early today and finally, it’s blazing hot sunshine-yes California! This is what I ordered! Continue reading “A whale of a time”

Bonnie and Clyde

Today I’m going to go shoot a vintage rifle. It’s a beautiful old thing with a deep mahogany coloured wooden stock. It reminds me of the one in the pictures of Bonnie pointing it at Clyde i’ve seen over in Dallas. Continue reading “Bonnie and Clyde”

This ain’t my first rodeo cowboy…

Except of course, that it is. Today I’ve taken the TRE train an hour West of Dallas to Fort Worth to hit up The Stockyards. Continue reading “This ain’t my first rodeo cowboy…”
